Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a small community located in the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. It is a part of the island that has been called "the West Island." West Island has a lot of communities. People who have never heard of it often mistake it for a separate island facing west. It is often cited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time in the city was brief. Brugel developed on Courtice located just outside Oshawa within Ontario. The first goal she had was to become an expert dancer. Then, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow her dance partners she had. The Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. As I got bigger than my male partners, I quit. Many ex-dancers switch to acting. In the case of Brugel it was because of the advice by her drama instructor at her high school which pushed her to the path she needed. The teacher was the one who suggested she audition to play the character of Anne in their annual school production. It was her choice to take on the main character for Anne of Green Gables after she auditioned for. She was given a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program, where she graduated from the program in 2000, earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Brugel's career spans over 20 years and she has been in over 60 productions that have screened on large screens and on smaller ones. The most well-known role she played was that of Rita (pictured beneath) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was only seen on a few instances in the initial season of the series The Handmaid's tale. The only Canadian actor.
